Preach, teach, and reach out with the love of God in Jesus Christ.

Welcome to Grace Lutheran Church in Adel, Iowa.

We are a small-town congregation that shares a living, daring confidence in God's grace.
Whether you are new to the community, visiting the area, or exploring your faith, we’d love to journey with you.
You – just as you are, just as God created you to be – are welcome here!

Bible Study - 1 John

The epistle (letter) of 1 John is not really a letter. It is more like a testimony expressing the truth of what the writer believes about who Jesus is and how that defines who we are. 1 John is a book of comfort and challenge. As we daily live in the promise of eternal life in Christ Jesus, sharing his love with one another, our faith becomes real, and we experience what it means to “abide in him.” (Book of Faith Leader Guide) As we hear passages from 1 John in worship in April, join us for this 4-week study. We will meet in person on Tuesdays at 9:00 am (4/9 to 4/30) and Wednesdays at 5:45 pm (4/10 to 5/1). An online devotional with self-study questions will be shared each week in Grace Notes, on Facebook, and at the link below.

Growing Season is Here!

Grace Lutheran supports a great mission in feeding our community with our Garden of Grace.  Supplying fresh produce to our neighbors is a blessing. We are very EXCITED to see if we can top last year’s harvest of 2,000 pounds (a ton) from the garden destined for the Adel Good Samaritan Food Pantry. Remember that everything grown in our garden is donated to the food pantry.

We communicate our needs for help and updates on the garden through an email list. If you want to be added to that list, please let Todd Nordquist know at  515-975-4762 or Nordquistadm@aol.com.  Everyone is welcome to help – members of Grace and guests, old and young –  we usually have jobs that fit everyone's abilities.  Many hands make light work!

Thank you all for your continued support of the Garden of Grace!!
