25th Anniversary Celebration Kickoff
“...grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 3:18a
Wow! 25 years of preaching, teaching and reaching out with the love of God in Jesus Christ! During worship on January 3 and 7, the 25th Anniversary Committee revealed a variety of special activities throughout 2024 to celebrate the past, present, and future of Grace Lutheran Church. Learn more about this year-long celebration of Grace on the 25th Anniversary webpage. Thank you to the 25th Anniversary planning committee: Carole Erickson-Schepers and Kim Nordquist (co-chairs), Sandra Christensen, Breanna Duff, Annika Hillmer, Trent Holmberg, Brandi Jensen, and Craig Poldberg.
In the mid 1990’s, a group of people in Adel, Iowa began conversation and gathering together for the purpose of planting a new congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). On November 7, 1999, the charter for Grace Lutheran Church was signed (it’s in the entryway). All year, we will reflect on and celebrate our mission to extend God’s love and grace to all people!
Be sure to check out the beautiful tree crafted by Craig Poldberg and Danette Rinderknecht in the narthex and add your hearts and acts of service throughout the year! There is also a display of photos and news articles from our history in the fellowship hall.
Show how you are “growing in Grace” with a super soft t-shirt or hoodie sweatshirt, or a beautiful commemorative print for your home or office. Order forms for this awesome merch are available in the narthex, and are due by January 31, 2024.
Look for more details on how you can participate in the celebration all year long!
